TERMS & CONDITIONS — LORENNE

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Lorenne website (the “Site”) and any purchases made through it. By accessing the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You may place orders only if you are 18 years or older and capable of entering into a binding contract. If you are under 18, you may use the Site only with a parent/guardian’s involvement.

3. Use of the Site

You agree not to:

  • misuse the Site, attempt unauthorised access, or interfere with its security or performance;

  • copy, scrape, or use Site content for commercial purposes without permission;

  • place orders for resale or other unauthorised commercial distribution.

We may restrict access or refuse service where misuse, fraud, or resale activity is suspected.

4. Product Presentation

We take reasonable care to present products accurately. However:

  • colours and textures may vary due to screen settings and lighting;

  • natural fibres may show small variations in tone, texture, or weave character;

  • artisan production may result in minor, non-defective variations.

Product photos are illustrative; the delivered item may differ slightly while remaining consistent with the stated product characteristics.

5. Orders and Contract Formation

  1. You submit an order by completing checkout and confirming payment.

  2. You will receive an order confirmation acknowledging receipt.

  3. The sales contract is concluded when we send a dispatch/shipping confirmation (or equivalent notice that your order has shipped).

We may decline or cancel an order before dispatch if payment fails, information cannot be verified, the listing contains an obvious error, or fraud is suspected. If we cancel, we will refund amounts paid to the original payment method.

6. Prices, Currency, VAT, Duties

Prices are shown in the currency displayed on the Site for your region.

  • EU deliveries: prices are presented VAT-inclusive where applicable.

  • Deliveries outside the EU: import duties, local taxes, and customs charges are not included unless explicitly stated at checkout. These charges are the customer’s responsibility and are set by local authorities.

7. Payment

Payments are processed via Squarespace Payments, using the payment methods available at checkout (e.g., credit/debit cards and supported express methods depending on eligibility and configuration).
We do not store complete payment card details.

8. Shipping, Delivery and Tracking

Carrier: DHL Express (unless otherwise stated at checkout).
You will receive tracking details once your order is dispatched.

Estimated delivery time (production + dispatch + transit): 1–2 weeks from order confirmation (estimate). Delivery times may vary due to destination, customs clearance, peak periods, or circumstances beyond our control.

If a delivery attempt fails due to an incorrect address, missing recipient details, refusal to pay duties/taxes, or missed delivery appointments, any additional shipping/handling costs may be charged to the customer.

9. Personalised / Made-to-Order Items

All Lorenne items are made to order and personalised (including production started specifically for your purchase). Please review measurements and product information carefully before ordering.

No cancellations

Because production is initiated specifically for your order, we do not accept cancellations once an order is placed.

No returns / no withdrawal right

For distance sales within the EU, consumers normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. However, this right does not apply to goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised. As all Lorenne items are personalised/made to order, returns and exchanges are not accepted, except for defective or incorrect items and without limiting your statutory rights.

10. Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If your item arrives defective, damaged in transit, or incorrect, please contact us at contact@lorennedk.com within 14 days of delivery, including:

  • order number,

  • clear photos of the issue (and packaging if transit damage),

  • a brief description.

Where appropriate, we will propose a remedy consistent with applicable consumer law (repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund where repair/replacement is not possible).

11. Statutory Legal Guarantee (Spain / EU Consumers)

For consumer purchases in Spain, the minimum legal guarantee for new consumer goods is three years from delivery (subject to the conditions and procedures established by law). This statutory guarantee applies independently of any commercial warranty and does not limit consumer rights. (Centro Europeo del Consumidor en España)

12. Intellectual Property

All Site content (text, images, branding, design elements) is owned by Lorenne or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or exploit this content for commercial purposes without prior written consent.

13. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such limitation is not permitted by law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer protections). Otherwise, Lorenne is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

14. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond reasonable control (e.g., courier disruption, customs delays, strikes, severe weather, or infrastructure failures).

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on the Site at the time you place your order will apply to that purchase.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. If you are a consumer resident in the EU/EEA/UK, you may also benefit from mandatory protections of your country of residence. Disputes may be brought before the competent courts determined by applicable consumer jurisdiction rules.
